TRIP LOG: 18 March 2014

Lava Hot Springs, Idaho

Progressive: 1211 Kilometers or 753 Miles

Lava Hot Springs in the mountainous valley of the Portneuf River between Salt Lake City and Yellowstone National Park is a well-kept secret. We almost missed the only sign marking this hot springs paradise … an 11 mile side trip off the I-15. We didn’t see any major hotels, but many quaint bed and breakfast facilities.  We agreed this would make a great overnight stop for a future road trip to enjoy the pools and maybe take part in the inner tube run down the waterfalls!
